A test tube rack is a basic piece of laboratory equipment used in chemistry labs to hold (and sometimes to observe experimental phenomena) and dry test tubes. Test tube racks typically have a number of small wooden posts and holes. Racks with holes allow test tubes to be held upright for later use or to facilitate observation of the reaction. Racks with posts allow washed test tubes to be laid upside down to dry.
