Piperan is a tetrahydropyran derivative. It is more sensitive to acidic substances but relatively stable to basic substances. Piperan is mainly used as an intermediate in organic synthesis and a basic raw material for pharmaceutical molecules. It can be used for the preparation and structural modification of tetrahydropyran-based functional organic molecules.
